ZF Group Secures Landmark Powertrain and Tire Testing Orders in India

ZF Group

Pune: ZF Group, a global leader in mobility and automotive technologies, has secured three high-value orders in India for its advanced test systems, marking a significant leap in its local operations.

The multi-million-euro projects include India’s first 440KW differential unit test bench, multiple R&D tire testing machines, and automated end-of-line (EOL) tire test systems for leading manufacturers.

The first contract covers a cutting-edge 440KW transmission test bench, the highest in its class in India, featuring a direct shaft connection to the Device Under Test (DUT).

This eliminates the need for intermediate gearboxes or chains, significantly reducing energy loss while boosting accuracy and dynamic performance. The system integrates a 3E dyno configuration and a movable dyno unit with horizontal flexibility to adapt to various DUTs, setting new standards in the segment.

In the tire testing domain, ZF Group has received orders for:
  • Eight advanced R&D tire test benches, including rolling resistance, endurance, and high-speed testing for passenger cars and two-wheelers.
  • Three automated end-of-line test benches, designed to ensure product quality and safety before the tires leave the factory floor.

These test systems are critical for validating durability, efficiency, and high-speed stability, playing a pivotal role in improving the safety and performance of next-generation vehicles.
